Another Islander leaves the factory at Bembridge

 It was a cold winter's evening when this Islander aircraft prepared to leave to commence service with its new owners - FLN Frisia Luftverkehr. As quite often happens, the hoped for sunny day was not to be, so we had to make the best of available conditions and were rewarded with a moody sunset just in the nick of time.

The Wedding of Kirsty and Craig at Ventnor, Isle of Wight

Artistically decorated wedding at The Spyglass, Ventnor, Isle of Wight; with entertainment by Adem in the evening, while early autumn storms caused the waves to thunder against the rocks on the shore outside.
Kirsty and Craig's first reaction to viewing the wedding gallery :
"Thanks Steve, The photos are amazing! The first one with my niece and nephew is great. We looked at them on Wednesday and having another sneak peek now!
The sea scapes are fab! Couldn´t have been better".
and from Kirsty's father:
"One word springs to mind....WOW A great montage of photographs and which everyone who has seen them has said the same thing......great, great photography, Thank you. I do hope you enjoyed your day, we all certainly enjoyed your company and this record will set the seal on what K&C have called "their amazing day" Thank you so much.

Bardon Vectis - supplying aggregates on the Isle of Wight

Part of a lucky day of sun to shoot for a new brochure illustrating the diversity of Bardon Vectis operations. They supply materials for sites ranging from large supermarkets right down to domestic driveways. The first two photos here are of some work in progress during the building of the new Lifeboat Station and pier at Bembridge on the Isle of Wight.

The Isle of Wight Cycling Festival
September 19th to 27th 2009 
Cyclists descended on the Island for the 'Sun Sea and Cycling Festival 2009', which provided enthusiasts and fun riders with a week of entertaining variety in the cycling world with something for everyone - from children's story rides to a 70 mile road ride and an off-road 7 or 14 hills killer!

International Scooter Rally - Ryde - Isle of Wight

The Wedding of Sarah and Jim at Northwood House and reception at Osborne House

The reception was held in a marquee on the shore of Osborne Bay. It rained all day but the Bride and Groom looked as though they hardly noticed it.
Sarah wrote - "Thank you so very much. They are fantastic".

Radical design of the new stove
Launching ceremony of a new stove from Charnwood Launching ceremony of The TOR, a new contemporary wood burning stove from Charnwood. Three gently curved glass panels offer a spectacular view of the fire from the front and from the sides whilst a highly advanced combustion system ensures exceptional clean burning and outstanding efficiency.
Reaction to the photography

"WOW - they look fantastic. they sum the evening up to to a tee- thank you so much ... - it was a real success....thank you so much again".

Ryde School Virtual Tour
A very complicated virtual tour of Ryde School, shot last year and set in an excellent graphic by 8th Day Studios is now online.
It has fourteen 360 degree panoramas which are each openable to full screen.They show aspects of the schools academic areas as well as sports facilities and architecture.

Chef Patron Robert Thompson at the 'Hambrough' on the Isle of Wight, was awarded one Michelin star at the incredible age of just 23, in 2006.

Time Out is one of the world’s leading independent publishing houses with over 30 years experience, and offices and publications in London, Chicago and New York.
The New Inn, Shalfleet has had recurring awards including Isle of Wight Dining Pub of the Year and 'AA' Pick of the Pubs.

03 02 2009 I’ve always been fascinated by the way buildings change in character when surrounded by snow. Here are two local ones in Cowes [Isle of Wight] that I think have benefitted from the snowfall this February.
The older building, Northwood House, has the shadow of the adjacent church cast across it.

26 09 2008 The National Lottery came to UKSA with a new project to recognize the sporting achievements of double Olympic gold medallist, Shirley Robertson, in a special event to highlight its role in supporting London 2012 through specially designated games like the new scratchcard, Go For Gold. Impressions were cast of Shirley’s hands for a unique, golden plaque. This special series of commemorative works has been commissioned by the National Lottery in honor of British Olympic competitors, with the aim of exhibiting them in the new Olympic Stadium in the build up to London 2012.

April 23rd, 2009
The Ball, which saw 600 people come together to celebrate The Trust and it’s activities both on and off the water, began for most with a horse drawn carriage ride to Osborne House. Guests then moved through to the garden terraces for the Champagne Mumm drinks reception. The Red Devils entertained everyone by dropping in on the proceedings with an amazing freefall parachute display.
